Position Overview:

Precision Concepts (Mebane) LLC, Consumer Goods Division, is searching for an accounting specialist to join our team.  The Accounting Specialist will be a highly motived and results-driven professional responsible for all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable related activities and contribute to various financial projects.

Position Responsibilities

• Verify applicable shipment data, generate customer invoices, and submit electronically to our customers.
• Apply bank deposits for customer payments made via ACH/lockbox to cash and our accounts receivable sub-ledger.
• Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure accounts receivable aging is up to date by communicating and providing statements for our customers.
• Analyze financial data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.
• Generate vendor invoices, weekly payments, and complete bank, credit card, and other applicable reconciliations.
• Support data optimization by transitioning to shared PC AP/AR e-mails, electronic data filing, and automated processes.
• Provide supporting documentation regarding audit sample selections of invoices, payment confirmations, etc.
• Participate in financial projects regarding cost analysis, fixed asset CAR spend/tracking, and special projects as needed.
• Contribute to various month-end assignments.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree is required with a focus in finance preferred.
• Must understand accounting theory and practice.
• Accounting experience within the manufacturing sector is preferred.
• High level of self-motivation, and the ability to work independently without being micro-managed.
• Must have a keen attention to detail.
• Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Exceptional customer service orientation.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Experience with IQMS or other ERP system(s) is preferred.
