Job Overview:

The shift supervisor is responsible for collaborating with the Production Manager to assist with the daily operations of the production floor; ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals. 

Responsibilities:

• Communicates with previous shift regarding any challenges and opportunities on the production line to prepare for the shift.
• Conducts walkthroughs throughout the shift to verify safety, housekeeping, and quality compliance.
• Coordinates and adjust shift personnel activities to meet daily production requirements.
• Supports Production Manager with any hourly and/or end of shift production reports. 
• Assists Maintenance and Process Technicians to ensure duties are completed.
• Assists in production floor training activities. 
• Improves processes and efficiency through the elimination of non-value-added activities. 
• Addresses any employee concerns or performance issues in accordance with established HR guidelines.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; comfortable communication with employees and management team. 
• Accountable and self driven. 
• Strong multi-tasking and time management skills. 
• Computer literacy
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Plastics manufacturing is a plus.
