Procurement Manager – Mooresville, NC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and execute on value add/value (VA/VE) engineered cost productivity programs with suppliers, customers, and internal business partners
  • Drive strategic rationalization and consolidation of supply base with key supplier partners
  • Lead make/buy analysis including decision making process to support vertical integration strategy
  • Identify & onboard new suppliers for assigned commodities
  • Key relationship manager with existing supply base to include conducting regular reviews of supplier scorecards (developing scorecards where necessary)
  • Supporting corporate working capital initiatives (including inventory turns and cash conversion cycle optimization) in partnership with supply base
  • Lead price negotiations with suppliers in assigned commodities driving a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) focus
  • Participate in and provide data for customer price negotiations in partnership with sales team
  • Resolve supplier delivery or quality performance issues within a timely manner
  • Report on an ongoing basis, market trends for assigned category including price forecasts, lead-times and availability, major supplier capacity additions or outages, etc.
  • Support launch and ramp up of new products
  • Act as liaison between supply base and all internal departments


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of work experience in strategic sourcing and leading successful supplier negotiations
  • Experience sourcing metal and plastic components for custom, complex, and mechanical products
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Availability to travel 25% of the time (domestically and internationally) often times on short notice
  • CPSM certification, preferred
  • Proven negotiating and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of medical supply
  • Proactive approach to business and team opportunities
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Understanding of medical supply chain management including:  ISO 13485, FDA CFR 820, IQ, OQ, PQ validation processes
  • Well-developed problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.  The ability to speak Spanish, preferred.    
  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Word
  • Experience with ERP systems such as IQMS
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic global environment
