Senior Human Resource Generalist – Ontario, Canada
March 21, 2025 2025-03-21 14:14- Provide leadership and support to managers and employees in the areas of performance counseling, employee retention, policy interpretation and implementation, human rights and employment legislation, conflict resolution and legal/contractual requirements.
- Coordinate recruitment and selection process for the organization, including screening candidates, conducting interviews, contacting references and providing orientation and training for new employees
- Prepare separation packages, complete layoffs/terminations
- Administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
- Recommend, develop and schedule training and development courses.
- Develop and maintain company policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Maintaining and updating employee schedule for weekly and continental employees
- Manage HR related reporting as required (Labour Cost, Health & Safety, WSIB)
- Develop, support and participate in Health & Safety initiatives within the organization.
- Other duties as assigned/required
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business or Human Resources Management
- 5+ years of prior experience in an HR/Operations role
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting, preferred
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks;
- Analytical and problem solving skills;
